The Persecution Project Foundation was founded for the express purpose of collecting and disseminating information about the worldwide incidence of Christian persecution, with particular focus on Africa. From its inception, Persecution Project Foundation has endeavored to equip and mobilize the grassroots to take action in support of the persecuted church.
Several things make up the purpose of the Persecution Project Foundation.
Their main purposes are based on Isaiah 58 & Mark 12: 29-31:
• To expose persecution (Ephesians 5:11)
• To assist the victims of persecution (James 2:15,16)
• To engage God’s people to intercede on behalf of the persecuted and suffering (Isaiah 58:6-12)
• To bring encouragement, consolation and hope to the persecuted and suffering (I Corinthians 1)
• To effectively by word and deed communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ (I John 3:18)
How to get involved ::

You mention Persecution Project Foundation. A word of caution is in order. I'm a former Persecution Project supporter and I discovered an extremely disturbing story late last year about Brad Phillips and Persecution Project. I know that sometimes missionaries are capable of doing some foolish things, especially when it comes with trying to interact with a culture they're unfamiliar with. But this is worse than just foolish ignorance. To me it seems Brad Phillips has acted in an extremely selfish way that even jeopardizes the lives of the Sudanese that he claims to be helping. I think that Persecution Project's donors should contact Brad Phillips about these serious allegations and try to get to the bottom of this. No simple wave of the hand or "It's all just a big misunderstanding" should satisfy any Persecution Project donor. Be forewarned though. That's exactly what they did to me when I called and asked about it. They won't be getting any more of my support at least until they come clean.
