The First Things First Foundation was started by Kurt and Brenda Warner to help underprivileged children as well as adults who are in need. Through its’ various programs, First Things First helps to spread the Word of God and the love of God to those who need it the most.
First Things First teamed up with the Special Olympics to begin the Special Olympics Punt, Pass, and Kick. Each time, 50 Special Olympics athletes get to learn the fundamentals of football from Kurt and Brenda Warner and then showcase their skills. First Things First also has a the Ticket Program which teaches lessons to the children, involves them in a community service project, then they receive First Things First clothes to wear to a Cardinals football game, with the tickets for the Game provided by First Things First. Following the game, the kids get to meet Kurt and Brenda, who take pictures with the children and pray with them as well.
First Things First is also involved in the Holiday Outreach program, where they take gifts like televisions, recreational equipment, and games to pre-selected organizations such as children’s homes and pregnant teen centers. They also sponsor a Thanksgiving dinner for men, women, and children of social service outreach agencies and homeless shelters. Other programs that First Things First is involved in include: Mission Possible, Children’s Hospital Outreach, Warner’s Warm-up (a program that collects and distributes coats to those who need them), Warner’s Team F.U.N., and We’re Going To Disney World!.
The First Things First Foundation is changing lives in St. Louis, Iowa, Arizona, and all over the world as they seek to give hope to the hopeless, while filling some of their essential, physical needs as well. Kurt Warner wasn’t ashamed to tell the world about his faith and was quick to give God credit for his success. First Things First also promotes God first to each life that the foundation comes into contact with.
