

The Battle Cry Campaign is driven by several Christian ministries and church
leaders and led by Teen Mania Ministries. Teen Mania's goal is to provoke a
young generation to passionately pursue Jesus Christ and to take His
life-giving message to the ends of the earth.
BatteCry's goal is to educate and empower young people through various mediums to live above the influence of our culture.
The Crisis:
ATTACK ON A GENERATION
Today's teens are being attacked by popular culture like no other generation. Hollywood, the music industry, advertisers, and even the mainstream media are using their arsenal of tools to win the battle for our teens' hearts- and so far they are winning! In order to defeat our enemy, we must know how it thinks and understand the weapons it uses. It is critical that we realize how far-reaching the crisis is- and then we must work together to stop it.
TELEVISION
This generation views 16 to 17 hours of television each week and sees on average 14,000 sexual scenes and references each year. That's more than 38 references every day.
INTERNET
This generation spends three hours a day online and is the first to grow up with point-and-click pornography. Almost 90 percent of teens have viewed pornography online at one of the 300,000 adult websites, most while doing homework.
MUSIC
More than 25 percent of teen-targeted radio segments contain sexual content; 42 percent of the top selling CDs contain sexual content
ADVERTISING
With more than $128 billion dollars in their pockets, this generation has been targeted by corporate America, who does everything it can to grow brands and profits without any regard to the moral decay of a generation
What BattleCry is doing..
BATTlE CRY PartNERS
Over the past year, we have approached leading ministries all over the country about the Battle Cry Campaign. Hundreds have committed everything they can to spread the message of the crisis facing this generation. This awareness will strengthen support for local youth leaders and youth groups.
PUBLIC RELATIONS
One of the leading Christian public relations firms is a partner in spreading the Battle Cry message in both the Christian and secular media. This includes radio, television and print media.
LEGISLATIVE STRATEGY
Several ministries continue to work together to inform lawmakers of the plight of this generation and lobby them to pass legislation that protects our teens from the dangers they face while online and from advertising and other electronic media.
BATTLE CRY RESOURCES
Several ministries have partnered to create media-diverse resources and curricula to support youth leaders in developing leadership teams and discipling teens into followers of Christ.
LEADERSHIP RESOURCES
The Honor Academy is one of the partners that has a proven track record in developing leaders. Hundreds of college-age students are trained each year to become leaders of their generation. The Honor Academy will provide intensive leadership training for youth leaders, teenagers and lay people.
EVANGELISM RESOURCES
Global Expeditions is one of the partners that provides evangelistic opportunities to thousands of teens each year. Global Expeditions will use its years of experience to develop evangelism training for teens who are committed to saving their friends.
BATTLE CRY EVENTS
The local church can use our Special Events as a tool to attract and invite unchurched teens to become a part of youth group. Part of the Battle Cry Campaign includes several special events such as stadium, arena and local community events designed to attract the unchurched. Several leadership-training events are also being planned.
FUNDRAISING STRATEGY
It will take the right funding to update local youth groups and build their infrastructures. That's why the collective wisdom of several fundraising partners has been used to develop resources that will train local churches to raise funds for their youth groups. The Battle Cry Campaign will also raise funds to help finance the Battle Plan and involve needy churches.
MEDIA STRATEGY
Music and video are the language of this generation. Several media partners have joined the Battle Cry Campaign to develop both content and channels that will invade the lives of this generation and challenge them to live passionately for Christ.
