VERICHIP: MIRCALE OR MARK?
Imagine not ever carrying a passport or wallet ever again. Imagine always knowing your children are safe. Imagine a world without identity theft, kidnapping, or malpractice lawsuits. Now imagine the cost of all this. An arm and a leg? How about your eternal soul? Applied Digital started selling just such a product a few years ago, the Verichip. The size of a grain of rice, Verichip can provide instant access to your medical history, building clearance, your current location, and possibly your account information. How do you retain security? It is implanted beneath your skin. Who can take your information once it’s in you? Sounds good. But what’s the problem? What about this marvel of technology might cost me my soul?
Revelation 13:16-17 says, “And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Many people are now considering this latest development in science and security to be Revelations mark of the beast. A couple of years ago, when this technology was first invented, it was said that the most secure places to implant this device were the forehead and the back of the hand. While this suggestion is no longer advertised, think about it. Where can people easily scan this implant able chip without an invasion of privacy? That narrows it down quite a bit. But is it really the mark foretold in Revelation? Maybe. Maybe not. Lets look at the facts.
Verichip boasts that it is the world’s first implant able microchip using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. Once all of the requested information is stored into the individuals 16 digit ID code, it can be accessed anywhere it is needed by passing into an RFID scan area. As if that isn’t amazing enough, this thing also has its own GPS system. Now, what about the why? Why should anyone buy this incredible product?
*Implant it in your kids. Who needs to rely on local law enforcement (who can take weeks, months, or even years) to find your children incase of kidnapping? Know where they are before anything can happen to them.
*Implant it in your employees. High-level rooms or information only certain employees need access to? Put a scanner at the door and presto, you’ve got enhanced security.
*Implant it in yourself. No more identity theft. Emergency crews can treat you on the scene better by having your complete medical history available in seconds. (And although the option is not yet available) Access to your money whenever, wherever. Need I remind you this thing is the size of a grain of rice?
This isn’t just a fairy tale anymore. Those pet ID tags you see advertised? Verichip. The bands some hospitals put on mother and child to prevent switching? Verichip wearable option. The ID tags that tell hospital, nursing home, and factory workers where their equipment is? Verichip attachable option. The implant able chip is already being used within the company. Other companies are using it as well. Rumors are floating around the net that Microsoft’s own Bill Gates is pouring money into this thing.
Is it the mark? Nobody knows for sure, but the devil is quite enticing in his offers at times. What’s more enticing than complete security? What better way to ensnare hundreds upon thousands of people? Simply give them an offer they can’t refuse. The offers on the table ladies and gentleman. The question is, Miracle or Mark?

Yes, I would be most hesitant to have this chip implanted. I have found that many people are incredibly afraid to even be associated with such a thing, in that, they feel that their salvation is in jeopardy. I don't think that this is the case. The chip must first represent a conspicuous and heart felt allegiance to this anti-christ before such a situation is possible.

It is my understanding that the mark of the beast will not come until after the rapture at which time I plan to be worshiping at the feet of Jesus...

I agree with the previous comment that getting somethingn implanted in us is in no way pledging an allegiance to anyone who is an Antichrist, so how could have any salvation impacts. I would be hesitant to get it implanted for reasons of privacy more than anything else. How would we ever know. People have thought that having a credit card was the mark of the beast too. There are so many ways to imagine it and yet none of them throughout history have "played out".

I don't see how this chip could become a problem, until the antichrist comes, and being christian becomes illegal. then it could become a "Star of David," only with GPS tracking...
aside from that, and until such time as (not the foreseeable future in our tolerant society), it's just a microchip. Personally, I'll be getting it in my left arm.
