Before any of you think I am some kind of "spiritual spook fruit," I only ask that you hear me out on this one. As a born-again believer and University graduate with a major in Religious Studies, plus 40 years of ministry, I don't make the following statement lightly. I earnestly believe that Cho Seung-Hui was a man possessed. Possessed by a demon, or demons.

If I haven't lost you by now, thenn I hope and pray you hear me out. Those of us who have a born-again relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior know that demons, and there work, are mentioned throughout both the Old and New Testament. We know that Jesus talked with the legion of demons in a man, and that those demons plead with Jesus not cast them into an abyss, but rather into a herd of swine. During His brief three year ministry, Jesus came across numerous demons who had possessed and made a home within the flesh and soul of men. The early church also had its share of run ins with demons as they witnessed and built the church according to the Great Commission.

Demons are definitely the darker side of the supernatural world we live in, and no one who reads the Bible, and has full faith in the Bible being nothing less than the Word of God, can deny the very existence of angels or demons. Old Testament scripture teaches quite clearly that demons are fallen angels, which totals approximately 1/3 of God's Angelic force. These fallen angels elected to follow Lucifer (aka Satan) in a revolt against God, and God cast them to earth. The Bible tell us that Satan was banished to earth and rules this place (Eph. 6:12 - "For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere").

With this brief history of the dark side of the supernatural, it is not simply a fable nor is it science-fiction to believe that the devil and his cohorts (demons) are real, and that these freakish supernatural cast offs have possessed men and women. With the Bible as my standard of proof, along with my faith in the Bible being the true word of God, it is not a supernatural leap of faith for me, or anyone else professing Jesus as Lord and Savior, to connect the dots of the tragic puzzle that took place at Virginia Tech on Monday as being a pure act of evil. That leads us to believe that Cho Seung-Hui was more than likely demon possessed.

This is one very plausible explanation for what possessed (excuse the pun) this young man to take two hand guns, dozens of clips, chains and locks, and calmly mow down fellow students for no reason other than his own possession by a very angry spirit of death (a demonic force).

I, for one, firmly believe that these crazy people who go around blowing up or shooting innocent people in the name of terror are nothing less than demon possessed individuals waging a battle that pits good against evil. I always chuckle at the radical Islamist who call the west, especially America, the "Great Satan" because it is usually the "pot that 'calls' the kettle black."

The answer to this supernatural phenomena is pray, faith and revival, with the latter of these three being subject to failure, because the masses of people living on this planet would not wholeheartedly get prayerfully behind any kind of long term revival. The majority of church going people today are looking for the quick-fix religion, and revival takes work. Work that starts within our God given individual temple and spreading beyond the individual temples to a world lost in sin and destined to spend life in that theological place of eternal punishment.
It would be my hope that the Virginia Tech tragedy would result in a hell, fire, and brimstone revival that turns this nation upside down and inside out. Sadly, though, America wants a quick fix, and band aid revival will last only as long as the adhesive can adhere to the skin around the wound.
