Jesus Rules the Mountain
I am not a huge X-Games buff by any means, but as I caught some of the snowboarding competition late one nightâ€" one name kept showing up on the TV screen. JESUS â€" Plastered in cursive writing on the board of almost every winner. As each competitor was being congratulated and interviewed after their run, it was evident that there was more at stake for these champions than just winning. It seemed as though the snowboard community got together before the games and decided to use this national spotlight to lift up the most high. To show the world that Generation X’ers are in good hands, those of Jesus Christ. The biggest names in Snowboarding: Kelly Clark, Luke Wynen, Tommy Czeschin, to name a few, succeeded both in their event and in their disguised shout-out to the world. The world took note as EXPN reported in a recent article “It's clear a lot of Xers are pretty passionate about the Christ.â€? Check out the whole article HERE

There is a vibrant Christian community within extreme sports that is starting to surface more and more as they decide to get bold with their faith. Professional Skateboarders, surfers, bikers and skiiers are proclaiming that this is no longer the lost generation, and they are using their talents and stage to bring other young people to the Lord. Yeah, some wear their jeans baggy, have tattoos all over, and wear mohawks; but as they take their skateboard out of their backpack, out comes a sticker covered bible as well that is evident of its wear and passionate use. This book has been their rock as they strive for relevance in today’s culture and yet cut a new path for evangelism. And they will succeed, they will reach those who some pastors can’t by using creative ways such as these Jesus stickers and other media outlets. The developer of JESUSSTICKERS.COM and snowboarder Luke Wynen expains the goal of his products “We hope you find some stickers that in some small way express your faith, and provide opportunities for you to share your testimony, or provoke people to ask questions.
