Throughout their career, Jars of Clay has been continuing to re-invent themselves. Sometimes, fans greet it with acceptance and other times, it is met with opposition wondering what they were thinking making music that didn't represent them well at all. The first album their released, self-titled with the band's name, Jars of Clay, has always been haralded as their best and one of Christian musics most brilliant works in its short but significant history. I have a bit of news for you who read this- the best is truly yet to come.

September 5th marks the release of Jars of Clay's new album entitled, Good Monsters. As a teaser, the Jars guys have released a 3 song EP on iTunes properly entitled The Mini-Monsters EP. It features their first two singles, Work and Dead Man as well as a track that won't make the album called Love Me. Work is being released to mainstream radio soon and Dead Man won't be far behind it. These tracks bring a new progressive pop-rock sound that has been non-existent in any of their previous projects, yet is new, fun, and refeshing to seasoned Jars fans. Love Me is a great track as well and I can't figure out why it was excluded from the album.

For those who have been burned by recent Jars recordings and feel as if they are old news, please drop that stereotype on this one. Truth be told, this could very well be the best album they have ever released; only time, industry analysis, and fan reaction will tell.

Preview these tracks at www.myspace.com/jarsofclay and purchase the EP on iTunes.
