We live in an age that sometimes reflects no hope beyond our present circumstances; in fact, suicide is the third leading death among those ages 15-24. Why do people commit suicide? Generally, people take their own life when all hope has disappeared and there is nothing left to live for. These alarming statistics are used to stereo type the young people in this society. Statistics of non productivity in today’s society is at an all time high according to the news media, but what other alternative do they have? In the early part of this century, a man by the name of Louie Giglio had a burden for the student generation. With that burden, a passion was developed, that passion turned into an experience that reaches thousands and thousands of young adults with the love of God. We think of Pro Bowls and All Star Games when we want to see the best athletes compete, but what do you call a worship experience with men like David Crowder, Charlie Hall, Chris Tomlin, and Matt Redman? It is amazing to listen to the project and to hear the thousands of voices singing along not to Matt and Chris but in praise to their creator. What would be like as Christians if we truly understood and allowed God to reign all parts of our lives? We Win is an encouraging upbeat melodic arrangement featuring David Crowder that should encourage us daily that Satan may win a battle or two but ultimately God has won the war when He conquered death at Calvary. There are many other songs of worship that will stir your heart and mind and allow you to worship as though you were at the concert. Chris Tomlin did an excellent job of bringing songs from the old hymnal into this worship setting, I Stand Amazed, Jesus Paid It All, songs that these young people may have never heard, yet such staples in the foundation of Christ’s Church.
